Her point could have been made just as effectively with out naming any org. This could have been an entirely different thread with out naming names.

I can pretty much agree with you. But now people have had their say. She's bitter. She's bashing the UPC. Stop bashing the UPC. She mentioned the UPC. She should have not mentioned them. She should leave and go to ex-pents forum. The bashing is old.

Okay- we have heard the complaints. The complaints have been responded to and acknowledged. Points have been clarified.

Could the issue now be discussed or shall the complaints continue for another unknown number of pages? Or should a new discussion be started, taking care to remove any mention of the UPC? (While anti-Bible and anti-faith posts continue without the amount of protests seen on this discussion.....)

Newsflash: anything can be faked by anyone.

And across all denominations it's such a small number that it's silly to make a thread about it.

The point isn't so much that things can be faked as it is that people may be proclaiming them to be "in" or "out" by using a checklist.....

Because hindsight is 20/20 and once you are away from something you tend to see things differently and in perspective.I understand and I get how you feel...I really do.I was severely bullied in school and it didnt help that tv...wearing shorts during P.E. and christmas trees were a sin.I had all these rules I had to follow and didnt really have a good explanation for why...I became so defensive because I felt I was on the tip of the spear so to speak in the war for defending my churches beliefs and doctrine...beliefs that didnt even make sense to me...so yeah it was a nerve that was rubbed raw.

Yes, it does.

Did Jesus and Paul speak or write of how believers should live?

Yes, they did. Paul's letters to the churches were filled with instructions on how to live a holy life.

The Bible itself is filled with what you call "yardsticks" or "checklists."
