I would have an issue with the culture divide. I am in south Texas and I am adjusting to my own culture. All I have ever known is white America. Or maybe it is all that I wanted to know. Growing up my family would say things like "you think you're white" and "you're a coconut". ( brown shell, white inside )
It is pretty pathetic seeing as how my family did nothing to help the situation. They did not teach me the language, and they did not teach me the culture.

I didn't help the situation, using words with more than five letters. LoL. And being monotone made it even worse... add pompous and arrogant. ( ahh, I'm revealing the real me, underneath the introversion )

And anyone who displays a modicum of class and education is also branded as a sellout. I believe that this applies also in tthe black community. The black equivalent to "coconut" is "oreo." Sad stuff, really.

Now, I wonder if this is problematic in the Anglo culture. What do ignorant "whites" think of the educated? They can't say "you think you're white!" LoL
