I just had to laugh at one of the Google ads at the top of the page "Tips on How to Kiss - Kissing Tips You Can Use To Make Out With The Woman Of Your Dreams

And the web address? Becomeaplayboy.com

I guess I'm not the only one with my mind in the gutter!

You guys are something else. I guess having actually "been there and done that" has me looking at it more analytically.

Aquila,

I actually liked your post about teaching your son how to respect women, how to attract women, etc. I think that is something that is sorely lacking.

However, you must admit, that's not how this discussion started! It started as a "Hey guys, I'll give you the secrets to walk into a club/bar/restaurant and kiss a girl that you've never met before!"

That was what I had issue with.

And, even Rhoni commented that a thread about "picking up chicks" was a bit over the top. Then, she turned around and accused me of having my mind in the gutter. Maybe she feels strongly both ways, I don't know. (Just kidding Rhoni).

Now, having said that, I totally agree that there is a time and place for teaching on relationships, interacting with members of the opposite sex, even marital issues.

However, those need to be separate discussions, much the same as they are dealt with in churches. When I pastored, we taught several classes on just those topics, but we isolated the groups, it wasn't done in front of the entire congregation at once.

Bro, I fully understand your concerns. At one point I even voiced my intent wasn't to bother anyone, but if I was kinda assured I wasn't offending anyone. We were just talking as grown-ups bro. Most of it was just for laughs.

Re: Kissing a girl!

Here's something interesting....

It doesn't seem like the ladies were having any "issues" openness of the conversation. It seems like the men got uncomfortable pretty quickly.

Why does it appear that many women are more secure when talking about various things than so many of us men? Even my wife once said that we (men) are hypersensitive when it comes to subjects involving sexuality (We had gotten into a debate as to if Christians should read National Geographic or if it is improper. lol).

Just an observation.
