You're in bad shape when your own words are a mystery to you.
That's why the bronze plaque on our pulpit reads,

Now Milady,
Why don't you share your thoughts.
It would be a welcome change from the drivel ALVIN has been drooling all over this thread.

Pentecost in the 70's
-In the liberal churches women trimmed their hair and maintened a long hair length
-In the liberal churches women wore pants but only for certain occasions e.g. working the garden, skating(pants worn under their skirts) ,pants on women wore a definate No as far as church functions were concerned
-In Liberal churches make-up and jewelry were worn moderately
-In liberal churches TV was acceptable , sports were acceptable, fairs and exibitions, bowling, pool were accetable
In moderate churches women did not cut their hair
In moderate churches pants were still a no-go on women,no make-up acceptable and only jewlery were the wedding rings, graduation rings, broaches
In moderate churches tv was a no-go ,but churches had their hockey teams, baseball teams, fairs and exhibitions were a no go also along with bowling ,pool
In ultra con churches women did not cut their hair .no pants on women .no jewelry. no sports whatsoever church sports teams were frowned upon and preached against.no make-up. no fairs or exhibitions or amusement parks.
That was the 70's.

Today I met a son of the frozen north, a brother of the celebrated Maple Leaf.
I enjoyed the visit.

Boy, you two together in one place must have been a sight to behold.
Now Pastor, I know that the vernacular of a coon hunter is somewhat different than that of we more genteel folks who stalk our meat in the aisles of a supermarket, but how in the world do you think that you can get away with titling this picture the way you did?

Too much head compression, too many minutes without oxygen when you need it most, and the result is a life lived in the frames of Gary Larson's world.
