WOW! that's an abuse of the use of the question mark! LOL
But since you don't do it very often, I can see that you don't think Rhenda was secretly happy with Mark posting BOOM's email.
Mark has been in rare pot stirring form lately but I think he also projects his own feelings and views onto others.

Re: The REAL Reason CONS have left or rarely post
It is absurd to think anybody caring about the forum would be pleased with St. Mark posting that email.

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.
"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.
"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

Seriously, I'm fearful for anyone who can blatantly say "Baptism does not save"!

Anyone who says baptism does not save is speaking directly against the Word of God, period.

Some people will go to any lengths to avoid admitting they are wrong.

Mark 16:16 in the Amplified:
He who believes [who adheres to and trusts in and relies on the Gospel and Him Whom it sets forth] and is baptized will be saved [from the penalty of eternal death]; but he who does not believe [who does not adhere to and trust in and rely on the Gospel and Him Whom it sets forth] will be condemned. ( Mark 16:16)
1Peter 3:21 in the same:
And baptism, which is a figure [of their deliverance], does now also save you [from inward questionings and fears], not by the removing of outward body filth [bathing], but by [providing you with] the answer of a good and clear conscience (inward cleanness and peace) before God [because you are demonstrating what you believe to be yours] through the resurrection of Jesus Christ. ( 1 Peter 3:21)
In Mark 16:16, why did Jesus not say that he who does not believe nor is baptized is condemned, only he that does not believe. And 1Peter 3:21 says that baptism is for our salvation from inward questionings. Using these scriptures to enforce baptism as salvational is simply in error.

Using scripture where Jesus commands baptism is in error? Bill, you are arguing against the Word of God, plain and simple. You can no more deduct water baptism from salvation than you can deduct repentance.

in Mark 16:16, it was not necessary for Jesus to say that someone that does not believe and is not baptized is condemned. The fact that someone doesn't believe has the natural result that they will not obey and be baptized.
in 1 Peter, it is plain that baptism does not was our carnal man (Flesh) clean, but it is an inward work that takes place in water baptism. Col says we are to have faith in the operation of God, meaning the circumcision of the heart.
It really baffles me that some would make water baptism simply a ceremonial work. They neglect much teaching on the purpose and implications of water baptism when they do so.

StMatthew, I am amazes that men think of their works so great that one can be saved through their works, that Christ did not die freely for to come, but that they must have a man's help through water baptism for salvation. We must realize that without faith it is impossible to please God. Now, which is faith, to say that we have turned from our sins to the ways of Christ, or that we have turned from our sins and must be baptized by a man or woman to become acceptable unto Christ. Where is the faith in the first, and where is the faith in the latter?

What am I missing here???
I believe the gospel, hence I turn from my life of sin, and surrender my life to God as a sacrifice. this is called repentance.
I believe the gospel, so I submit the old man (that I have offered up as a sacrifice) to be buried in water baptism. My faith is that God will operate upon my heart and cut asunder this old man from me, circumcising my heart.
I believe the gospel, so I reach out in faith and accept the gift of the holy ghost, which is the earnest of my inheritance, the down payment of eternal life.
Is there any point at all that I worked for salvation above, or is it that I responded because I had faith?
