Let it be understood that Apostolic Friends Forum is an Apostolic Forum.
Apostolic is defined on AFF as:
- There is One God. This one God reveals Himself distinctly as Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
- The Son is God himself in a human form or "God manifested in the flesh" (1Tim 3:16)
- Every sinner must repent of their sins.
- That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.
- That the Holy Ghost is for today and is received by faith with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.
- The saint will go on to strive to live a holy life, pleasing to God.

If they were baptized in Jesus name, then great. But, to say all who had faith in Christ but were not baptized were lost, that is not the grace of God.
As for the years, I cannot give exact dates, but I believe the trinity doctrine was prevalent starting in the 400s, and continued on until the 1800s, so it was about 1400 years, not 1600. I do not have exact dates in front of me.

You are missing the point. You made an assertion about being baptized in Jesus name to St Matt that assumes BILLIONS went to hell for not being baptized in Jesus name, yet you claim that many of them COULD have been saved by faith despite being in a works based religion but you can't PROVE it.
So then if I were to take you argument in reverse your soteriological view, using the premise you made earlier, damns BILLIONS to hell also

Prax, please forgive me. I have alot in front of me. I do not mean for it to seem as if I am ignoring you. You have been very kind in the discussion. I hope my last post answers somewhat.

I'd love to get into all of this, yet AGAIN, but honestly, I just don't have the time. I am just too busy trying to help folks find Jesus, but they trinitarians or not. But I will say this: I'd take a surrendered trinitarian ANY day over a self-righteous, bigoted, holier than thou oneness person who thinks everyone else is going to hell who doesn't believe like they do. And I think Jesus would as well. After all, the scripture states that the Publican went home justified and the Pharisee apparently didn't.
Those Pharisaical robes seems to be flapping in the breeze these days just as much as the gums, IMO.

Bill Im just trying to show you that the statement you asserted to St Matt about 1600 years of no baptism in jesus name would result in billions going to hell works both ways for all those years there was no protestant reformation.
You say they could have had faith, well they could have baptized in Jesus name. We do have historical witnesses of people getting the revelation of baptism in jesus name and even a Oneness view of the Godhead from time to time
