Many folks have been there for the conversion. Not many continue on the road.
That is why many times a large church has a great teacher behind the founding walls.
They tend to keep a larger percentage of the folks who get converted.
Both the preacher and the teacher are needed in every church....
A few more possibilities....
Preaching draws men unto Christ, while teaching develops men in Christ....
Preaching compels the emotions, while teaching deals with the mind and soul....
Preaching is the salesman that causes men to buy into a dream, while teaching is the construction crew that builds that dream according to the blueprint design brick by brick.... precept upon precept....

The two most Biblically sound teachers in the Apostolic Pentecostal movement I know of are David Huston and Jim Mckinley. Accuracy in doctrine is what makes a teacher a teacher.
On the Godhead John Eckstat stands out above ANY I ever heard.
Back in January I was invited to speak in a Oneness Pentecostal room on Paltak . I believe this group had been meeting several times a week for at least a year or two. The Sister who invited me said they had never had a teacher speak before.
By the way where is "preacher" listed among the five fold ministry?

Oh my, Michael has just said something VERY profound.....AND worth being repeated......
Awesome observation MtD.
Scripture says we are saved by the foolishness of preaching. we need preaching. But clearly teaching is also given great weight in the bible and often, it lacks in christian circles.

Jesus preached...does that count?

But what defines what a preacher does as different than a teacher?
Paul said he was both.
7: Whereunto I am ordained a preacher, and an apostle, (I speak the truth in Christ, and lie not a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and verity. 1 Tim. 2:7

If "preacher" and "teacher" are the same...then that would mean that "preacher" is mentioned in the 5-fold ministry by default...under "teacher." Are you sure you're going to go with that one?

You are a one issue man.
These guys teach plural eldership...that is the only thing that distinguishes them in the Pentecostal ranks.
