Yes. LOL! I like him to have as much exposure as possible.

Listened to a clip of Chris Christie yesterday, sounded like he might be gearing up by some things that he said. Sometimes he seems like a bully to me, while he is making good points (lol), so I don't know if I totally like the guy.

And the libs will do everything in their power to go after him too. Who knows? Christie might get charged with a hate crime for trying to bully all the libs out of their own nonsense...

LOL! That wouldn't surprise me. I think people like straight talk. I was listening to an interview of Judge Judy (not a show that I watch, but she is certainly an interesting person). She went on to say that her show is successful because people do want to be told the difference in right and wrong.

So, Perry and Christie don't mince words. They aren't artful like Obama. I don't think the country is in the mood for artful anymore.

Re: Why I'm Against Perry

I like Christie, but I don't know that his style would work as President. Not that he couldn't or wouldn't change once in the WH - they all do, mostly not for the better.

On the fence about Perry. His speech at the prayer event seemed more planned and read than something deeply personal and heartfelt. I think the Dems have a good question as to why Perry would talk about TX's secession from the US, but now run for President of the US.

Not that it would keep me from voting for Perry. Thus far Perry is the only GOP candidate I'd vote for. A Perry/Christie campaign would be fun to watch ... especially the debates. Perry v Obama and Christie v Biden. haha

I agree. Perry is the only GOP candidate I am interested in voting for right now. I wish I could put some parts of each candidate into one person, but that would be dreaming.

Re: Why I'm Against Perry

Well done article!

For anyone interested in details. Each of the 18 items are addressed in length and link sources are provided.

(Update) Eighteen (18) things that critics are saying about Rick Perry

1. Gardasil
2. Trans-Texas Corridor
3. He used to be a Democrat and was Al Gore’s campaign manager in Texas
4. He wants Texas to secede from the union
5. The jobs created in Texas have all been low paying jobs. Texas’ average wage is much lower than the national average.
6. Texas ranks poorly in educational spending and high school graduations
7. Perry turned down $555 million in federal stimulus, yet later asked for federal disaster aid for Texas wildfires
8. Perry says he has not raised taxes, but he has
9. Perry has presided over the highest number of executions in the nation
10. Perry refused to consider commuting the execution of Mexican national Humberto Leal Garcia even though it had been requested by the U.N. and the White House
11. Cameron Todd Willingham:was he an innocent man?
12. Perry supports giving in-state tuition to illegals
13. Rick Perry is gay
14. Perry is a “weak” Governor (the Governor of a state that limits the Governor’s powers)
15. He is squishy on immigration
16. Perry is a member of the Bilderberg cabal and therefore believes in a New World Order (NWO). That is reason alone to eliminate him from voting consideration.
17. Texas’ abysmal rankings on various lists
18. Rick Perry is way too chummy with Muslims

Perry's mention of seceding from the union was well-before he ever considered or spoke of running for President. I believe the principle of his mentioning is far more important than taking it literally, even though there are people who would jump at the possibility if secession was a a viable option; I wasn't part of that crowd. He was trying to prove a point that Washington politics aren't working for Texas.

Now, let's switch gears to the fact that he's running for President. Since Texas secession is not a viable option right now, Perry is trying to take on Washington's spending. At least that's what he's touting his horn for. "They get to Washington and change." Okay, that may be true. But, give the man a chance. The least America did was give Obama a chance, and there's no way in the Heavens above or the land down under his nonsense can continue, especially since he's gone a totally different way than what he lead (or should I say mislead) we the people to believe. But, I digress. Some people just haven't been affected by his negative change yet...

Glad Perry's not backing down.

Perry Doubles Down On Fed: "Open Up And Be Transparent"

"If they would simply open up and be transparent with the American people, I think it would go a long way towards either finding out whether or not there is some activities that are improper or that they've been handling themselves quite well. But until they do that, I think there will continue to be questions about their activity and what their true goal is for the United States," Rick Perry said at a breakfast this morning.

He has Ron Paul, Bachmann and Gingrich behind him on this. So, he's not standing alone in this campaign on this issue.

Re: Why I'm Against Perry

Oh my goodness, I am loving this!!! LOL!
Quote:
Yesterday, a reporter from Politico.com asked Perry whether he was armed. Perry, a known gun owner and enthusiast, refused to answer the question.

“That’s why it’s called ‘concealed,’ ” Perry told the reporter.

And that’s why — unless there are some Texas-sized skeletons in his closet — we’ll be calling Perry “the Republican nominee.”

Quote:
Mitt? Romney can’t even win a one-on-one with himself. Just throw the phrase “Romneycare” at him and watch him rope-a-dope himself to the mat.

That is definitely not Rick Perry’s style. Perry is ready to rumble.

Quote:
A telling “little nothing” from the campaign trail yesterday: A reporter asks Perry about Romney. He blows him an air kiss and says, “Send him my love.”

Ouch.

Quote:
Just about every time a political punch is thrown, Romney winces in pain — particularly when he’s doing the throwing. Perry, on the other hand, is itchin’ for a scrap.

He makes a great point. Transparency is only right considering we pay the people and into the system they are supposed to be managing. Why people defend a politician who can't be open and honest is above and beyond me. Sure, they're gonna bring up some things (projects, ideas, etc) that I may or may not agree with. But, I'd rather hear it and be given the choice to support or oppose it rather than find out, after the fact, something was presented and approved internally without being given the choice to vote on it...
