When does one put away the victim mantra. I'm not speaking to you alone, Rhoni, but to anyone who has been hurt.

I've been deeply hurt in the past, but God has been my stay and I hold no ill will to the one who hurt me.

Ummmm, you may want to re-read the post. She says her pastor has not told her she needed to do anything other than what she is doing.

The members of the church are the ones who are giving her problems about the way she is living.

Sis, when you paint with such a broad brush, you hit lots of folks.

You swung a pretty wide loop in your initial posts.

But, why announce what you probably should keep private? Is it part of that sabotage syndrome you have?

You knew exactly what kind of responses you would receive here - is that part of the healing for you? I don't think so.

He has never reprimanded her for wearing a little makeup or trimming her hair. So she is not being stubborn or rebellious to those that have the rule over her and are watching out for her soul. The ones with the problem are other saints in the church that want her to tow a line that she doesn't feel God has drawn for her.

I hope I got that correct, Martha.

Thanks, Mizpeh, This is what I was trying to say. My pastor has never mentioned my hair to me. If God convicts me, I will follow HIS call, not the people who want me to be their clones.

I'm aware of my pastor doing this for a couple (in hopes that God would work it out). She still knows better and is there in spite. Maybe she can clarify, but does the preacher still preach cutting hair and make-up??

So does your pastor preach against cutting hair or not?
