Suffice it to say there are more than 2 or 3 on this forum that know this guy and he is gay. He has had multiple partners and in a same sex relationship now.

Why would you feel the need to throw this out for public consumption. Don't tell me it is because you want to invoke meaningful dialog because you did this in your usual manner; vomit and then leave.
You never try to inspire anything productive. This is not an indictment on those who have responded, some who have commented on this thread have done so in a productive manner.
I'm just disgusted.

Well, this is a pretty harsh indictment on just the messenger. As others have stated, the individual starting this church made this information public in the first place by creating a website. Information is put on the Internet to be found! The intention of this thread is to discuss the issue and emergence of so called "gay pentecostal" churches, not to bash the person who started this church.

Yes... not necessarily. We know that.
But George said USUALLY, and that is 100% correct. Most gay or "gay affirming" churches use similar language, and I've seen some that refer to themselves as inclusive, or "radically inclusive". . Rarely do these churches say "We are a gay church". They tend to use certain code words or euphemisms most of the time.
Youre saying you didnt see anything on the site that says "same sex relationships". So what? Most gay churches DONT explicitly say they promote "same sex relationships".
But what is your angle on this? What are you trying to prove or disprove?
There are people here who know the man and know that he is gay and has a gay church. . If you know this to be NOT true, then maybe you should show us your evidence to the contrary. Otherwise it's probably best to give it a rest.

Just wanting to set the record straight and that we're not operating in hearsay here.
One of the things that's interesting about this thread(and perhaps one of the reasons for some of my earlier post concerning the UPC) is the title of the thread "XUPCer starting gay church in Bakersfield", as if it's such big news this would take place among former lifetime UPC ministers/members and occupy 13 pages on a thread.....what I'm saying is this....It's highly unlikely that this would be a thread at all on this board if it was XAOGer, XCOGICer, XPAWer, or X any other trinitarian pentecostal or other apostolic oneness organization minister stars gay church. That brings us to the question, Why was this thread started to begin with?

That question should be directed to MinisterWD. I don't think he was trying to single out this particular man or church. There are many other gay Pentecostal churches. Maybe MinisterWD was taken aback because it happened in the Western District.

Re: XUPCer Starting GAY Church in Bakersfield
Just to set the record straight, this information may have readily available on the internet, however, I happen to live in Bakersfield (well Pumpkin Center, but who wants to get technical on that), and go to church with close family members of this individual (no, not the church he came out of), and the first I heard of it was on this forum.
I have spoken to several other people since, and they all heard about it the same way I did, on this forum. Which, you know, YAY for the forum, it got the scoop!
Perhaps that will shed a little light on why I feel the way I do about it. And if the only reason that it was put on here was to provoke discussion on the topic, why was there not some direction given in the original post? I don't buy it, sorry. But, to each their own.

Why is that surprising ? We are talking about California.
