This is true, but since most of these women have been in the same situation as these girls in the past, you would think that something would rise up in them when they remember how they felt.

And it is obvious that many of these girls are terrified and traumatized, there are too many reports over the years of girls trying to escape. I guess maybe over time, these women just give up hope. It is tragic.

I understand your point, but consider if the families in the apartment complex were all living the same lifestyle, doing many things communally, and sharing spouses, I think there might be grounds for such a removal.

I am not advocating governmental interference, but I am also not advocating standing by while children are living in a probable abusive environment. It is extremely complicated, but I don't believe the authorities in TX have done this without good cause.

I think we all know they believe they are right. That is beside the point. The women in that community don't have a voice or an opinion separate from their husbands

I see your point, but I can see how what Texas did could be challenged in court because of shaky legal grounds for removing ALL the children.

Also there were probably only 10 or so Daddies involved.
These Dads generally have 30 or 40 kids by several different women.
Thats what I am saying take the ten daddies and let the investigation begin.

Then if there are mothers added as accomplices that take those too. But to take 400 children from their mothers instead seems overstepping.

It's very simple. You get each mother with their children. Ask the age of the oldest. Ask the mothers age. Subtract. If it is under the age of consent arrest the father.

I understand, I am wondering how much cooperation they are getting in identifying who the fathers/rapists are. I would think that in that environment, there would be a strong incentive for these women and children not to talk. They have been raised in fear. It may be difficult for the authorities to weed out who the current abusers are.

Can't do that if they are married, Prax.

Exactly! They do not know what's going to happen - they may be returned to those men and if they name them there will be further abuse.
