Not a lot, MOST.

The government took them (the churches) "... into an exceeding high mountain,
and sheweth him (the church) all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory
of them;And saith unto him (the church), 'All these things will I give thee, if
thou wilt fall down and worship me'."

The government promised the church what it already had, and the church
believed the government's promises rather than the promises of God. So the
church has been eating of the tree of knowledge of good and evil ever since.

I didn't intend to high-jack the thread: but my keyboard got away from me. That's right.
I have a keyboard that's sometimes, it seems, faster than my brain. (No, my tongue is
not quite that fast, thanks to my onsetting dementia)

has anyone ever taken a public stand at a conference or something against tithes?

like a preacher that just got up and said ,"Look guys, Im having second thoughts about this tithe issue and here's my scripture for it."?

I thought it was a good one!

Then maybe I was attacked by Alzheimer's Gang (my sister calls them

I’ve never heard of anyone doing so. If anyone ever does, they would be black-balled by all of the major organizations and the GIBs. They would have no one else to preach to. They would be branded a heretic, a troublemaker, and an enemy of the church. It is interesting that pastors that cannot agree on how long sleeves should be, how short hair should be, wedding rings or not, wine 🍷 or grape juice 🍇 , television 📺 or internet, team sports, golf or not, can all come together in perfect unity for a doctrine that is not found in the Bible.

When hell freezes over and they sell tickets to hockey 🏒 games there, it still will not happen. I am convinced, this issue is going to be led from the pew.

Another question would be. Has anyone ever debated tithing in the Apostolic churches? I’m talking about an old-fashioned public debate with a moderator and official debate rules.

Anybody ever heard of it? I’d buy a ticket to THAT show!
