80% is not really anti-establishment, in my opinion.
Especially with an abstention rate of 19%.

That isn't as important as what the votes were for and did it matter if he voted or not. If you check his record, his votes wouldn't have made a difference. Also, he chaired some of the most important Senate Hearings on gun control, climate change, to name a few.

I like Cruz, but I find his supporter's poo pooing of Sessions record a bit ironic, especially since Cruz and supporters have been lauding Sessions all the way and until Sessions endorsed Trump.
Now, suddenly we read:
Sessions is establishment
Sessions is racist
Sessions is not a true conservative.
Funny thing, politics.
Cruz said he would vote for Trump, if Trump is nominated. What will his supporters think of him then? Will Cruz also become persona non grata? Just another establishment candidate?
Again, funny thing, politics.

Not really a funny thing. It's just that this process is highlighting which side people are really on when push comes to shove. I suppose we can thank Trump for that.
Cruz still has the "quality" endorsements, while others have quantity.
If you haven't seen John Oliver's take down of Trump, it's pretty epic - because all of it is true. LOL! Warning, there is language, which isn't a surprise for John.

John Oliver has had some excellent segments like this. He did one segment on tax payer funded stadiums. It was great!

I've seen a couple of his clips. I figured this clip would tell the truth as we aren't getting it from Fox News, Talk Radio, i.e, Rush and Hannity, who are doing their very best to marginalize Ted Cruz. They have addressed Trump as the inevitable from the beginning - deja vu Mitt Romney.
Glad Mark Levin addressed this issue today and talked about Chris Wallace's hit job on Ted Sunday morning. Cruz said the instructions to marginalize him are coming from the top.
So, we have another debate coming up with Chris Wallace. He was totally ticked that Ted Cruz stood up to him Sunday. I expect Wallace will black Cruz out for 30 minutes or more during the debate, like they've done before.
It just shows that win or lose - we have chosen the right candidate. I don't vote to win. I vote my principles.

So, Ben Sasse (Nebraska) the first Senator to come out saying that he will not vote for Donald Trump. #NeverTrump

D-Day.
Cruz needs to win his home state and keep it close or win some others as well.

D-Day for sure.
I want to leave this good article here in support of what is true about Ted Cruz by his Staffers. Regardless of the media marginalizing him, and the GOP Establishment against him, he has done good in the Senate and for the state of Texas.
Quote:
Why We Believe in Ted Cruz. We Were There.
We’ve been asked by many friends to share insight into Ted Cruz, based on the two years we spent working for him in the U.S. Senate. It is clear from these conversations that while few doubt the sincerity of his conservative political convictions, many are struggling to make sense of the way he has been characterized by the media and a few of his Republican colleagues as “dishonest,” or “unlikable.” Many of you are trying to understand who this man is and how can you like him or trust him enough to support him for President of the United States.
Well, we happen to know him quite well. And we know that the vast majority of these characterizations are completely false; that Senator Cruz is an honest and decent man; that the negative portrayals of him are purposeful and a direct consequence of his willingness to fight for the American people against the massive power of the ruling class that our founding fathers predicted would occur; and that it would be an incredible disservice for you not to take a serious look at him as the only nominee who will lead this country away from its current path and toward the American promise of freedom, security and prosperity our children deserve.
Here’s why we believe this.

Re: Sen. Ted Cruz Makes It Official
After the thousands of times Ted has publicly idolized Jeff Sessions I would imagine he cried when Sessions stood on stage, shoulder to shoulder with Trump, and rejected Ted's candidacy.
Huge blow.
It's funny how previous to the Trump endorsement Sessions was PO's hero, but now he's "establishment" and "political."
