I have no problem with that. Yet it does nothing to prove the dead are alive.

Did Christ SLEEP for two or three days before His resurrection? Or was Christ's SOUL DEAD? If Paul took Christ's experiences as a pattern for our immortal existences, WHY DO YOU NOT BELIEVE CHRIST SLEPT BEFORE HIS RESURRECTION?

Long time since I have been back to this thread. My question to you is where did I say Christ did not die (sleep) for 3 days until resurrection? I cant go back over all this right now but I sincerely doubt I said that. It would certainly be inconsistent if I did.

Indeed Jesus Christ slept just like every other man slept when he died. God raised HIM not just his body from the dead.

20: But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept.
21: For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead. 1 Cor. 15:20-21

Paul is saying every man from Adam died. Jesus was the FIRST ONE to be made alive from among those who slept.

He NOT JUST HIS BODY became the firstfruits of them that SLEPT.

Just this alone should be sufficient to prove the point that resurrection is for the purpose of bringing THE DEAD back to life.

Well supose I didnt get put back into my body,it had to have been God that put me back because I did not move.What would do you supose would have happened to me,the living me?
