Define what we should consider costly array.

Well, without getting too technical for you, anything that you wear that costs a whole lot of money...

Thank God I'm in Wisconsin where youth can at least be youth and aren't expected to look, dress and act like old fogeys in order to be considered good enough for God.

With this situation we must become technical.
You're saying if shoes or clothing articles are expensive, they're costly array? In whose eyes are these items considered costly array? If a person for some reason can't afford them, does that automatically classify those items costly array?
If a lady can only purchase a $10.00 skirt and yours cost $25.00, and you wear your skirt in her presence, would you feel you're in modest apparel or costly array?

It really isn't that difficult. If an item of clothing is costly enough that most people can't afford it, and you have to pay for it with credit, I think it qualifies. Whether or not your shoes would qualify for that, I have no idea.
The point really is that we ignore the written word, and add to it at our discretion. Just because you did not happen to like the style of clothing that these kids were wearing, does not make it wrong by any stretch of the imagination.
Now, if they were indecent, that is another story, if they were showing parts of their anatomy that they shouldn't have, I will concede that point.
But because you didn't like the style? No. That does not make it ungodly or wrong. Sorry. And there is NOWHERE you can find scripture saying that a suit is appropriate attire for church. It certainly isn't inappropriate, but there is nothing biblical about it.
