thank God your pastor is not letting these people manipulate and hold your church hostage any longer. God will honor this and send you the musicians- i urge you all to train up some right in your own congrgation too if youhaven't started to already
I agree. If the church is backing the pastor then they should know that it will cost money to replace whatever instruments and whatnot these people take with them. When I played in church I always used my own guitars and amps anyway, rather than anything the church had. Most musicians have their own anyhow.

deltaquitar,

If the church needs a new bass amp and other musical equipment I highly recommend www.americanmusical.com

They are just like the Musicians Friends website except that they allow you to split purchases above $250 over three payments on your VISA check card or credit card. It is a neat way to have three months to pay out something without having to pay any interest. I have bought thousands of dollars worth of equipment from them over the years.

I told the pastor's wife, If i come and help you again please promise me that you are Done with these people once and for all!!!! I told her, they have been in numerous churches pulling the same tricks, manipulating their gift. i said, you'd be better off to struggle through it, get grandma back up there but let that mess go!
I'd rather have someone who could only chord a little and loved God than to have the best musician with a bad spirit.

I'd rather have someone who can chord a lot, love God a lot, and be a great musician with a right spirit. BTW, there ARE many of these out there!

I believe that there are many good musicians and singer out there.

But most of the time when a pastor has trouble it is with the musicians or singers. There is nothing worse than having people on the platform who are fighting the pastor.

Believe me I am with you as far as harmony with the musicians and the priests as in OT...great things happen when they are together and in submission to the Pastor....I take issue with "most trouble is with the musicians" this is NOT true...there are plenty of bad seeds in a church to take the blame...musicians are an easy target, because they are in the forefront...sister sally who is secretly miss-behavin' doesn't get as much attention. Joe the usher who talks about his Pastor and the decisions of the leadership runs in a small circle...LET THE CHURCH ROLL ON BRO!!!!

I have actually heard a musician state "Where would the worship be with us!" and with a bad attitude no less. But that's not all musicians.

PS. Wasn't the Devil a musician?

Another thread I haven't read, but a platform without music bands and microphones is more like the Apostolic pattern I think.
