It's often really difficult to discern the differences between socialism and communism.
One difference is that socialism is mainly an economic system, while
communism is both an economic and a political system.
Hmmmm, looks like Communism to me.
I thought I should come back and explain what I mean here. I think that Gov. Perry was trying to be cautious. I'm sure what he was wanting to say is, “This is an administration hell-bent on taking America towards a Communistic country.”
Mainly, because Communism embraces the idea that goods and services should be distributed among the populace according to individuals' needs.
That is Obama's idea of government - redistribution of wealth. It is not the same idea that socialism asserts, i.e. distribution takes place according to the amount of an individual's production efforts.
