In my line of work, if you've seen one, you've seen them all, and I got over being impressed a long time ago..LOL!
I see medical science as a very functional reason for seeing nudity. It is a necessary thing. But......posing nude for art seems.....well.......pretty unnecessary. lol!

Keith did a report recently on Michaelangelo. It is amazing how much medical science learned from Michaelangelo's studies of the human form and his drawings of nudes. (muscles, etc).

Even today, medical science uses artists for drawings in text books, articles, etc. I have a friend whose daughter has gone into that field, in fact, and makes GOOD money! Those who go into that field don't start out drawing beautiful medical drawings. They start out drawing nudes. Almost always.

Okay, well, this is what I am looking for. Some good, rational, logical explanation of why someone might do this, rather than, Agggghhhhh! Why would you DO THAT????!!! Still, isn't there any other way? It jut seems so wierd to me. Maybe it is a Puritan thought process. Even so, so many of the people with these liberal views are also very sexually liberal.

That's an interesting question.

Thanks. Yeah, how would we deal with all of that? Medical science made great strides in war, using humans as guinea pigs....sawing arms off and trying to put them back on. Not quite the same thing....but good came from bad. Is this the same type of thing? Or are we just being prudes?

See that what I was thinking, I would be like, who and what do you model naked for?

IDK I have people confess all kinds of things to me, sometimes I dont know when to be shocked.

For example...I had a women explain in detail how she was on her way to kill the guy riding with her and she knew where she going to get rid of the body........hows that for hijacking your thread. Sorry didn't mean to just giving an example of the things I hear sometimes!

I said, "Modeling?" and he said, yes, I was a nude model about 100 pounds ago and then he went on with the conversation. To him, he seemed to be mentioning a statement of fact, but I was floored that he would casually tell me this. I poker-faced my way through the conversation and then went and hid in the back until he left. I told my supervisor what he had said because she could see I was flustered and she seemed like she may have been more amused/disturbed by my reaction than by the fact that this guy just told me openly that he was a nude model. Sometimes, I don't know how to live in this world......
If some fat woman coworker told me she was once a nude model I would have just thought it was funny and probably would have had trouble not laughing in front of her.

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.

"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.

"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

Oh people like her are our harvest field, it was through this event that lead her to repentance, it was really strange listening to her tell me the story, but it gave me an opportunity to tell her she doesn't have a choice but to live for God-

I have heard the saddest stories dealing with this segment of society-but it where we are seeing the most fruit!
