She repeated it and kept on working whatever she was doing. It was one of those times that you know it's wrong, but it's funny at the same time, but you try not to laugh because you can't encourage it!

We talked about that not too awfully long ago and she said, 'Well, you asked."

Too funny!!

I think our daughters would get along!!

When my daughter was about 4 she was getting in to my car and walked across the drivers seat to get in. She tracked mud all over the seat, and I said "Lana, what is on your shoes?" She sat down and pulled her foot up to look at it and said "What the he-- is that?" I about died, I had to stand up so my face was outside the car so she couldn't see me cracking up!!

I bent down in to the car again and said, "Baby, we don't say that word!" Don't have a clue where she heard it except maybe from visiting her dad. I like to remind her of it regularly!

Re: Curse words

Jeffrey is learning to sound out words phonetically, and was trying to pronounce KFC. Unfortunately, he was also talking very loudly, and the girls were nearly in the FLOOR laughing at him (e.g., MAJOR encouragement). I didn't want to discourage him from his reading efforts, so Jeff and I just smiled calmly at one another, and let it go.

I don't like to eat at KFC anyway.

Re: Curse words

My parents were divorced. On my mom's side growing up we heard EVERYTHING in the book and I do mean everything (they don't belong to any kind of church). But on my dad's side (Baptist) we couldn't say anything. To this day my stepmom will faint if you say butt or cr@p, etc. We couldn't even say "Oh my gosh". I was a messed up kid!

My hubby says p****d off which gets on my nerves at times but other than that we don't use real cussing. We will use slang cussing which I know, is basically the same. Every now and then he will let one slip, but nothing REALLy bad. Now sometimes I do love to answer the phone and say to my best friend (for shock value) "What the h*ll do you want?"

Re: Curse words

My neighbor has the habit of saying, "J_sus Christ", when she gets excited. I always come back and say to her "Cheesy Fries" trying to teach her to stop using the Lord's name in vain! I'm still working on her!
