Re: Prophet Charles Pierce out of Ms. anyone know

Perhaps the reason why there are not more miraculous headings of mind, body and spirit is because people are afraid of being conned? People are not being taught how to "try the spirits" in the churches.

Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

(I John 4:1)

When will people learn that ALL headings and miracles come from God and not from a man who is only a conduit?

Re: Prophet Charles Pierce out of Ms. anyone know

I was maybe 4 or 5 years old and I was called to the front of the church building. A preacher by the name of Braneff (sp) placed me on his knee. My dad, who was also a minister, was standing by. I was told that God was going to remove my birthmark. I was so excited, because being teased all the time was not fun for a child that age.

My dad took me away from Rev. Braneff and whispered in my ear that my birthmark was beautiful and he thought God wanted me to have to it make the rest of the world pretty.

One minister telling me something WAY off base did not diminsh my faith. I walk in faith each day and KNOW I have heard from God ON MY OWN! I don't need a minister or preacher or teacher to tell me what God has in store for me or would like me to do.

I feel bad for people that seem to need a preacher to tell them or give prophesy to them. ???? Why? Are they so out of touch with the Lord that they can't get answers on their own? IMO. I don't mean to be negative. Just stating how I feel about Prophet preachers.

Re: Prophet Charles Pierce out of Ms. anyone know

Ephesians 4:11, 12 & 13

And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;

For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:

Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ.

God put all sorts of the called [five-fold ministry] out there for His Church...for the perfecting of the saints. Trouble is, there is so much infighting among the churches and the leaders that overcoming doctrinal divisions is sometimes difficult and that weakens the church. (I've seen it too many times) By no means does it weaken God's might, but as humans, the unsaved sees the difference. The Apostolics used to believe in the five-fold ministry. Now it's like some only want to do the work of our Lord just on pastors, evangelists and teachers. That's like driving a 6 cylinder vehicle on 4 cylinders. It ain't gonna work right.

It's not necessarily for our benefit, but could be more for the unsaved's benefit. Although God may have a word for us likewise.

Remember King David, who God said was likened after His own heart had prophets speak to him...especially when he sinned and disobeyed God.

Yes, we should and must walk by faith on our own, but not everybody has faith the size of a grain of mustard seed. They need to see God's power through the five-fold ministry.

As I said before, there may be something missing in the churches people attend if they feel the need to follow a prophet from church to church hoping to get a word from the Lord. It is best to pray and seek God for ourselves, but everybody has times when they ask other's to pray for them...and sometimes those others hear from God for you.

By the way, I agree with your father. I think your birthmark is beautiful.

Thank you for the comment about my birthmark. Somedays it is a thorn other days a blessing! LOl!

And I do understand what you are talking about with the 5 fold Ministry. I also think that most of it is geared toward new babes in the Lord.

I believe in the gifts and I believe in miracles but they are for a purpose. How does pulling someone out of the crowd and telling them they have migraines or depression helpful if they never get healed?

There is this idea that if we just BUILD enough FAITH in the people that miracles will happen. When the miracles don't happen then folks think that there is something wrong with them or they are told they don't have enough faith.

The truth is that God allows bad things to happen sometimes to work his will and purpose. Google the ministry of Justin Peters, his doctoral work was on the Word of Faith movement and the damage that it has caused through out Christianity.

It is called witchcraft. People want the supernatural and some don't care if it is from God or not. I have seen a lot of these people get way off into mysticism where God is just the means to their goals.

Your dad seems like a very wise man. My wife is deaf and though she would like to hear she was always the target of the faith healers. The smart ones stayed away thought because they were smart enough to know they couldn't fake a real miracle.

This is quite true. We don't know the mind of God when we find ourselves stuck in the mire. I've seem to have had things that happen to me that I don't know anybody else that the situation has happened to. I've been criticized by other church members for having despair over situations, only for them years later to have the same situation happen to them.
I am of the opinion that when trouble comes into your life, it is more of a faith builder than having your trouble disappear without understanding what the trouble was all about.

I've had to hang on these scriptures.

Hebrews 12:6-15
6 For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.
7 If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?
8 But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons.
9 Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live?
10 For they verily for a few days chastened us after their own pleasure; but he for our profit, that we might be partakers of his holiness.
11 Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby.
12 Wherefore lift up the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees;
13 And make straight paths for your feet, lest that which is lame be turned out of the way; but let it rather be healed.
14 Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:
15 Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled;

I must admit there are fakes who claim,to work in the prophetic realms,but where there is a counterfeit there is a genuine.There are prophets out there,who are God ordained and are true blue.

VERY TRUE! I have known real Prophets and false prophets. I have met some great lawyers and many crooked ones. I have met some good cops and some lowdown crooks, swindlers, liars and thieves that wore the police badge.

I want to go on record that I believe in the Five Fold Ministry in the Present Day ministry of Apostles, Prophets, Pastors, Evangelists and Teachers.

I have seen men call people out (and I am NOT addressing anything about CP) and blind eyes come open and deaf ears open and the deaf and mute hear and speak. I have watched backs straighten out at a Prophet speaking the Word of Faith and limbs grow, cancers fall off and come out of people. I have seen Prophets call life back in a dead human being more than once.
You doubters, pouters and do with outers have come to late to tell me what God cannot do. Let God's Word be true and every man a liar.

If I never see another instant visible miracle - I will not cease to believe God for them. I have seen miracles from my childhood and will continue to pray and believe God for the Supernatural. You good folks that can live without it - God bless you - but I am not going to live without the Supernatural Power of God that is able to save, heal, deliver, work instant visible miracles and set the captives free!
OUR GOD IS A MIRACLE WORKING GOD!
The New Testament Church was a MIRACLE WORKING CHURCH of Signs, Wonders, Miracles and Gifts of the Holy Ghost. They had Apostles beyond the 12, Prophets and Evangelists that worked in the Supernatural in the might Name of Jesus Christ. We should see nothing less as New Testament believers!
