This is a wise sounding post. I don't think for a minute that because you and your friends don't have tv that you are holier, nor do I think that I am holier than you all. I agree there is a line that must be drawn on what to do and what not to do, but the lines are drawn Biblically not corporately from over a pulpit, IMO.

And I think my Pastor would tell you, like many contempory issues, the decision is not made because of what the pastor just made up, but because of scriptural principle.

I don't think you are any less than me if you want to own a TV. If our church family chooses to play it safe on this medium, and preserve the brains of our few youth, then that's what it amounts to. Though I agree with the current pop culture: "Kill Your TV"

If I believed in reincarnation, I would bet a dollar that Booker was the reincarnation of Ciaphas.

When a preacher tells a crowd at a major event that a cop busted over 40 people in one day for downloading child porn, writes pseudo intellectual thesis why internet is acceptable for christians, yet gets his colon twisted over the passage of a television resolution, there is something wrong spiriitually with that person.

Would that not defeat the purpose of being on this forum? You would have to ignore everyone.

I'm serious in my previous post, about praying for you and your family. I know some time has past since you father passed away. I recently gone through the death of my father. Praying for you and your family has given me strength. Although it appears I am back on your hit list,. keep my cell phone# handy if you need to talk. Or drop a line on my blog.

We don't have to talk about religion, God, Reckert, Holy Trinity, bible prophecy. As head custodian, you may give me few tips on cleaning concrete floors. I mop the floors every Sunday after service. If you see me mop, you would know I could use all the advice you are willing to share.
