All the candidates performed within normal Iowa poll movement. Carson outperformed 1.6% higher than expected.

After I watched Carson's Presser, I have a different impression of him and it is one of dishonesty.

I read this today and it summed up what I came away with from his Presser:

He admits, just within this window, the following facts:

• He has no knowledge or reason to believe that Ted Cruz personally knew that the tweet was being sent, or would have approved of it being sent.
• Ted Cruz called him personally and apologized for the tweet and furthermore publicly apologized to the press for it having been sent.
• The genesis of this story was that Ben Carson’s own staffer spoke out of turn to the press about Carson’s plans.
• He, Ben Carson, takes no responsibility for the actions of that staffer.
• When pressed on the obvious hypocrisy of his position – to wit, that Cruz is a bad Christian because one of his staffers spoke out of school, but that Ben Carson has no responsibility for one of his own staffers doing the same thing – Carson responded with worse pettiness and sulking petulance than we have come to expect from Donald Trump.

And then to top that off, we get the news today that Carson is downsizing his staff - considerably. THAT didn't happen because of Iowa. It was in the making and BEN knew it!

The story goes that NH breaks from following Iowa. So, if the polling is true, it isn't surprising.

More good news for the Cruz campaign. The strong get stronger while the weak drop out...even when they pretend they haven't dropped out.

Cruz's Iowa Win In Part Due to Culture of Kindness and Courage at Campaign HQ

Sen. Cruz won for many reasons: his outsider appeal, disciplined message, and sophisticated get-out-the-vote operation. But after two trips to Iowa to volunteer for Cruz, I noticed something else about the Cruz campaign that probably made a difference.
