I disagree.

Valid reasons for being hurt, angry, wounded, etc.

But bitterness is hurt and anger that festers long enough to become bitterness.

And Paul's standard for forgiveness was "let not the sun go down upon your wrath."

You'll find Jesus holding it up there pretty high too, what with the 70 X 7 ratio, and that in one day.

NO excuse or valid reason for bitterness, ever. Deal with hurt and anger before it becomes bitterness.

Thank you guys for your psychoanalysis. Dora's Diagnosis = bitterness...

That's helpful...thank you thank you...

IRONIC = I'm defending my spiritual Alma Mater the good old MOTHERSHIP UPCI and I'm getting skewered for it. LOL

OH! and since my thoughts and opinions are no longer of any significance whatsoever because I no longer have any influence or affluence in the UPC, then why on earth are you working so diligently to attempt to discredit me?

I am not making excuses for bitterness....just there are things that happen in people's lives that bring bitterness to them... it's really up to them...but unless I've walked where they have walked I may not have the understanding to deal with them....there are some area's only God can heal...

Coon, Dora is not speaking of Felicity here or of what Felicity has posted. If you read her post, she has moved on to the original points she was making.
