Re: Do You Believe In Women Preachers?
SISTER A O HOLMES has been one of the greatest soul winners among independent pentecostal people. I GREW UP listening to her preach and many of her words are engraved on my heart.

Your acidic, incredulous posts, that dumb down a debate that is not as simple as you make it attracts and wins over no one.
Do you pastor this way too?

No godly women is or will try to be a man...

Acts 8 says no such thing. The men & women were in prison...how could they "go everywhere" from a prison cell?? But, we've already hashed this out ad nauseum. To say that women are allowed to preach to men in a church setting is directly against the Word of God, the creation order, & nature itself.

Do you obsess over this topic in your personal life, or does it just deeply interest you here on AFF?

I see, silly me for believing the Bible instructions to the NT church...what was I ever thinking??? The people that I minister to do not believe in women preachers because I took the time to lovingly show them the biblical truth on the matter. As one women told me, "Even if there was no Scripture against women preachers [as there is], mere intuition instructs me that it's wrong."
"I do not allow a women to teach, or to excercise authority over a man, she is to remain quiet....these things I write unto you that you may know how to behave yourself in the household of God, which is the church..." Who in the world would read that & simply allow the text to speak for itself & then say "O' my, God calls women to preach/teach to men in the church"??? Absolutely no one w/ an honest heart! Praying that God will lead women preachers to repentance for their flagrant rebellion to His written Word.
Call me names all day long...I've got enough sense to read & believe the Bible...perhaps you should give it a try!

No obsession whatsoever....I pity those who simply refuse to believe what the Bible says. It's a settled matter for me...I've studied the subject in extreme depth [yes I know about "gune" & "aner"]...now go ahead & make another ad hominem/scorn attack.

Honestly, I think guys like this need to submit to a mental examination and IQ evaluation before they are even considered for ministerial credentials or to get behind a pulpit or allowed to TESTIFY! ... oh and a background check to see if they have sexual misconduct in their past! Has ANYBODY checked this guy out????????
Why do we allow people like this to even POST???

Funny...we say the same thing about those who allow women preachers in the face of plain Scriptural prohibitions. I mean if they can't even understand the plainness of I Tim. 2:11-15....how in the world can we trust anything else they teach!?

Actually, I'm not calling you names. I'm pointing out that your style of discussion wins over no one -- including your cute little quips at the end.
I actually probably agree more than I disagree with you on this topic. The difference is in how dogmatic and essential you view this -- and of course, the way in which you interact with others on the topic.
Some very big-name Christian groups that are strong Complimentarians, do a much better job at respecting views in this discussion, even while maintaining theirs is the correct view. Maybe I'll post a few links for an example

You just seem wound up, petulant, angry, incorrigible and a suspiciously overly-bent out of shape on this topic than maybe you should, that's all.
And pity those who haven't studied the topic as in-depth as you, or at least grant them the patience. I'm glad it's a settled matter for you. For many of us, it's not "settled."

Re: Do You Believe In Women Preachers?
1 And Saul was there, giving approval to his death. On that day a great persecution broke out against the church at Jerusalem, and all except the apostles were scattered throughout Judea and Samaria. 2 Godly men buried Stephen and mourned deeply for him. 3 But Saul began to destroy the church. Going from house to house, he dragged off men and women and put them in prison.
Philip in Samaria
4 Those who had been scattered preached the word wherever they went.
if verse 3 talks about men and women verse 4 also includes men and women...
