And to read all the comments and horror stories people post on here about their UPC church, or their familys UPC church - they have issues they need to resolve before they go inviting the masses in....

elucidate.....please

yeah, of course they are...

but even in "non dry" churches, how many people do you see in the alter seeking the holy ghost? Not very many, not lately....

And I personally dont think ads on tv will bring folks in....thats just MY feeling on the matter....

but I'm looking at it from a church that hasnt had any significant church growth other than folks moving into the area that were looking for a UPC church....no one invites anyone to church, no one teaches bible studies.....

Our pastor has brought in teachers and ministers to motivate folks to witness or invite folks to church - but nothing happens. Folks are just so busy with life, they barely make it to church themselves...you know?

PP please.

Your portraying one of my favorite characters in some of your posts. Debbie Downer. wa wa wa.

Let me ask you this way. Do you agree with NLYP that there will be a 'Happily Ever After Ending' or will this split the org in two?

What I worry about with the TV thing is that I don't think it's just about TV although I think some think it is. It's about more than that and that's what's a little troubling to me.

*from one who's no longer part but my opinion anyway*

HAHA!!!

The organization will survive, one way or another. We're just gonna have a big black eye.

That makes me sad. Sorry.
