Of course, as I said, this one anecdote was just one of many things we suffered in the course of this ordeal. And this wasn't even the worst one.

I would have at least gotten up and politely walked out... with her on my arm... And not come back.

I just got in from my doctorīs and where ever I go I invite them to church. she told me, Missionary you are a person tha brings peace to my office but if I went to your church I might bring you shame. I said, How is that...she said I would be in pants, jewelry and would not look like you. I told her come just like you are and no one would ever say anything. She said but Missionary, I like to dance and I smiled and said come on you can join the crowd...
Why in the world would we ever want to focus on our differences when an eternal soul is in our mist...can we not talk of the goodness of Jesus...
Strange how external things cause people to feel "SO SAVED" that they would destoy someone else and call them such a name.
IN 40 years I have never told one idol worshippers to take down their gods and destroy them. I live a 24/7 life before them that causes them not to want dead saints and clay gods...If you think you have something better just be a christian...at all times.
It is rude to use Godīs name to make yourself look holy...there was a class of people like that in our Lordīs day. He didnīt seem to think so much of them...

Ron,
You know I like you, but we have to be so careful what we teach the church, our kids, new converts.
Quitting in the midst of adversity is not the route to take.
You know we went through that horrible deal in Austin. We wanted to get up and leave and God said, "No, stay put." We did and God brought the victory.
"No weapon formed against thee shall prosper."

This from a pulpit.
That was a little tough to swallow.
But we didn't go chatismatic over it.
