Re: Health, Wellness, and Nutrition Thread
OK, I see everyone ran away when I posted abouting lifting very heavy items. Especially grippers, which enables you to grab teenage boys by the shoulder who are asking to visit your daughters.
Anyway, I would like to post about a cookie.
I just tried it last night, and it was pretty good.
It is made by Lenny & Larry's called the Complete Cookie.
It has 16 grams of protein, 8 grams fiber, no eggs, no dairy, NO SOY!!! no GMO.
I tried the oatmeal raisin. Also tried the Cookies and Creme Brownie this morning, that also was very good.

Are these local? I've never heard of them.
I thought about taking a roast and cooking it, throwing it into a blender and making a puree, then adding some flour, sugar, organic chocolate chips etc and making a high protein chocolate chip cookie. I'd call it Chocolate Steak or something.
Chocolate. Plus beef. What could be better, right?

They have a great distribution so they have them in Krogers, 7 Eleven.
Just don't eat them before you go to a church that has praise dancers.

Re: Health, Wellness, and Nutrition Thread
this is likely the best way to supplement omega 3, if you must supplement. Obviously superior would be a correct diet. I am off of virtually all supplements save a whole food vitamin (organic frog), which is really food; and a cheaper O3 that is surely chemically "spiked," the one i refed earlier.

Re: Health, Wellness, and Nutrition Thread
So, I've started weight lifting... 8 pound weights in both hands doing high jumps, military presses and others. I know that moderate weight lifting will help hopefully build muscle tissue, and keep osteoporosis at bay. I may try to work up to more when I am comfortable with this amount of weight.

kbtw - good job! I need to get back on the fitness trail. Changed jobs about 9 months ago and still haven't adjusted. I was faithfully working out with running and weights and since I stopped have gained about 20 lbs.

Thanks A! It feels good to be doing this. The first few days my muscles really had a lot to say, but not as bad now. I decided to make this a lifestyle change. One of my thoughts was that I could take 10 minutes each morning and night and do some core aerobic exercises with some weights, along with about 30-45 minutes about 5 times a week of walking or strenuous physical exercise. That is my goal anyway
