Isaiah 35:20-25 Assemble yourselves and come; draw near together, ye [that are] escaped of the nations: they have no knowledge that set up the wood of their graven image, and pray unto a god [that] cannot save. Tell ye, and bring [them] near; yea, let them take counsel together: who hath declared this from ancient time? [who] hath told it from that time? [have] not I the LORD? and [there is] no God else beside me; a just God and a Saviour; [there is] none beside me. Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I [am] God, and [there is] none else. I have sworn by myself, the word is gone out of my mouth [in] righteousness, and shall not return, That unto me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear. Surely, shall [one] say, in the LORD have I righteousness and strength: [even] to him shall [men] come; and all that are incensed against him shall be ashamed. In the LORD shall all the seed of Israel be justified, and shall glory.

This surely does not mean the whole of creation is saved.
...all the ends of the earth.

When did Noah preach the resurrection of Jesus Christ? Scriptures?

Revelation 20:15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

Then of course it goes on to say in Revelation 21 there will be a new Heaven and new earth and so forth and then it says tears will be wiped away(tears?) and all things made new.

There isn't nothing more said about those who are cast into the fire?Seems like if those souls were purified, brought out of the fire, the Bible would mention it.
Is it not there? Or are we just not trained to see it?

Please pay close attention here...
Revelation 21:8
But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.
We already covered the word "brimstone" and how it speaks to purification. Now let's look at the word "part"... in the Greek it is...

3313 // merov // meros // mer'-os //

from an obsolete but more primary form of meiromai (to get as a section or allotment); TDNT - 4:594,585; n n

AV - part 24, portion 3, coast 3, behalf 2, respect 2, misc 9; 43

1) a part
1a) a part due or assigned to one
1b) lot, destiny
2) one of the constituent parts of a whole
2a) in part, partly, in a measure, to some degree,
as respects a part, severally, individually
2b) any particular, in regard to this, in this respect
These have their "part" in the lake of fire... this can be understood as their measured allotment, the part due or assigned, their portion. A measure of time.

We read of the New Heavens and the New Earth... the New Heavens and the New Earth, with the New Jerusalem, are eternally established. Notice the doors are never closed. Then we read....
Revelation 22:1-5
1And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.
2In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.
3And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him:
4And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads.
5And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever.
This is a depiction of the eternal state after the New Heavens and New Earth. The passage leaves us asking...
  • Who are the nations being healed? And from what are they being healed?
  • The curse is no more... Who was still under the curse?
  • Who is now seeing his face? The righteous had already beheld it.
  • Who is receiving his name in their foreheads? The righteous had already received it.
Could we be seeing the reconciliation of all creation?

Revelation 21:8
I don't think this is a foundation scripture for your theory.The word ( PART) also means(PARTICIPATION,ALLOTTED SHARE,A DIVIDING,TO SEPERATE)

Re: What is the purpose of Hell?

I would be cautious and pray for the Holy Spirit to guide you in this teaching. This could be a dangerous teaching against the gospel if one interprets that they can live like Hell because in the end they will get into Heaven anyways.
I have enjoyed this topic.

That's my point... the Greek language can allow for more than one meaning. Therefore we have to take the meaning that measures best with the nature of a loving God and the whole of Scripture.

Easter... truth be told... the the teachings of a hell of eternal torments doesn't prevent anyone from sinning. Nor does it bring a lasting conversion. The Bible says...

Romans 2:4
Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?
It is the goodness of God that brings one to repentance. Knowing what God did to secure their salvation. If one converts merely to escape Hell... they can never love God to the extent of love that is possible. You see... what bride can truly love her husband if she's forced to kiss him or be fed to the lions? How can one truly love a person who was about to burn them forever? They might fear him... but they can't love him to the fullest extent possible by love.

I've seen adultery, fornication, lying, cheating, stealing, and the entire gamut in churches... even though they believe in Hell. Hell doesn't dissuade those who desire to sin. But loving God can...
