I already have to fight for souls with one hand tied behind my back.

Why is that?

It's because their first impression of Pentecost is a list of don'ts.

I have to overcome everything they have ever heard Pentecostals are against. I have to take them to the Bible over and over and over again. It's hard to focus on the New Birth when I am constantly fighting ghosts.

Now there is the real potential that I will have to prove over and over and over again that my church does not espouse this wicked doctrine.

It's frustrating, embarrassing and downright sickening.

Mark, there is no such thing as a false doctrine that is harmless.

and MH focuses PRIDE on FLESHLY pursuits as a substitute for pure faith in JESUS. THAT my friend is in no way harmless.

Problem is ... Ferd ... is that we've only equated smoking and drinking to be fleshly not .... religious man-made rituals seeking merited favor also

I don't know if I would go that far, but I will say that this doctrine is potentially the most damaging I've seen. And we've seen a lot of false doctrine over the past couple of decades.
