In a story eerily similar to the Black Panthers in Philadelphia, the same thing allegedly happened again in Dallas, TX.
The difference that others have pointed out is that what happened in Philly happened in one place in Philly and the police took care of the situation rather quickly.
Allegedly in Dallas, the problem was widespread with more than a dozen different complaints coming from different parts of the city.
JD - where's the video. I saw what the NBPP was doing, with my own eyes. That was voter intimidation, whether anyone wants to admit it or not. At this point, these are allegations. Who made the allegations and were there actually "illegal" voters found in these areas?
The stories are totally different.
The comparison is not valid.
I do not think the NAACP is a bad organization. However, some people in the NAACP are.
Just like most other organizations.
Has anyone in the NAACP ever called out Al Sharpton for his bigotry in the Tawana Brawley case?
The answer is clearly no.
The tea party irritates the left. It makes them squirm and worry that their hold on American politics isn't as tight as hoped.
They hate the uprising of the people because it threatens their power.
To those who compare the Tea Party to racists....DON'T.
The NAACP hates whites. Now they aren't smart enough to deal with black republicans. JD is an extreme leftist as are folks at the NAACP.
The above article was written by a black lady and it tells us the NAACP is long past a good purpose.
Quote:
Tim Scott and Allen West, our new black Republican congressmen, are both aggressive and unapologetic voices for everything the Tea Party movement stands for.
just read the story. it was in Houston not Dallas.
and it was ABOSLUTLY NOTHING LIKE THE BLACK PANTHER CASE
The BP case had a thug with a weapon dressed in a uniform.
the cases in Houston were poll watchers who were doing their job making sure voters were actually registered.
looks like a set up to me.
And the BP case was dropped by Obama's DOJ. Stunning. Here's why, imo.

No Equal Protection at Obama's DOJ?
Today's Washington Post offers a damning report by Jerry Markon and Krissah Thompson about race-conscious enforcement of the law in Eric Holder's Justice Department.
The upshot? The "powers that be" in charge of the Department think civil rights laws are only to be used to protect minorities, not white people, even when whites' rights are being violated.
Here's one snippet:
Civil rights officials from the Bush administration have said that enforcement should be race-neutral. But some officials from the Obama administration, which took office vowing to reinvigorate civil rights enforcement, thought the agency should focus primarily on cases filed on behalf of minorities.
"The Voting Rights Act was passed because people like Bull Connor were hitting people like John Lewis, not the other way around," said one Justice Department official not authorized to speak publicly. . ..
"There are career people who feel strongly that it is not the voting section's job to protect white voters," the [Justice Department] lawyer said. "The environment is that you better toe the line of traditional civil rights ideas or you better keep quiet about it, because you will not advance, you will not receive awards and you will be ostracized."....
So, to point out percieved racism/intimidation by a newly formed political group is ridiculous when real racisim/intimidation actually does exist. It's a patheic attempt to discourage any conservatives from entering the political arena.
