- That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.
- That the Holy Ghost is for today and is received by faith with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.
- The saint will go on to strive to live a holy life, pleasing to God.

Re: I agree with Obama
Wow. Not that I enjoy being in the position of defending Obama, but you guys are almost too much. You folks are no different than the lefties who hated Bush for every position and comment no matter how true they were.
Even if Obama is being hypocritical in his statement about wasting money in Vegas, you cannot in good conscience say he is wrong. If people have no money in this economy they have no business wasting what they should be spending on mortgages and kids college tuition on a Vegas weekend of waste. It is completely irresponsible.
As to Obama's waste for his WH chefs, hawaiian vacations and "date nights"...can we not be partisan hacks pretending Obama is the only POTUS to ever take advantage of those things. I will bet my house that GWB, Clinton, GHB and Reagan ALL had special chefs making whatever their hearts desired for dinner atthe WH. I bet they all spent plenty on very nice vacations...and why not? They make a LOT of money in the most stressful job on the planet.
I dislike the policy stance of this President. I will not be one of the hacks that attack him for taking a vacation or having a date night with his wife. He ought to. His marriage is more important than the office he holds.

It's not BHO's business to tell people what they should be doing with their money. If some moron wants to blow their mortgage or rent money in Vegas - that's their choice and they'll live with the consequences. The US is still free.
I'm not a partisan hack. Had W said this, I'd feel the same way. The problem is BHO is going around, unlike W, demanding and telling people how to live and spend money, telling banks and business how they need to manage themselves, etc while he and the democrats are on a record spending spree ... during a recession, no less.

Re: I agree with Obama
Obama isn't passing policy that says you cannot go be irresponsible and blow your mortgage money in Vegas. He expressed his OPINION that people have no business doing that. An opinion that I would bet MOST rational people on this very forum agree with.
Just because you cannot stand Obama, just like I cannot, does not mean you have to pile on the attacks even when they are unwarranted.

He IS trying to pass policy that is telling businesses and banks how to manage themselves. He IS trying to put a ridiculous tax on bonuses just to get a bump in public approval.
As president, the line is blurred between opinion and policy. His opinion will eventually find its way into his policy. It's just a matter of time.
Again, if W or some other conservative (I'm an indie voter) were to run around doing this, I'd criticize them as well.
In my OPINION, BHO has no business throwing WH parties all the time during this recession. Wasting taxpayer money by paying famous chefs to cook for him and his family is ridiculous.
I don't see BHO pulling back on his family's lifestyle ... of which, of course, they don't pay a dime. He leads. He stops the parties and elitist lifestyle on our bill and I'll think about listening to what he has to say.
'Til then all I hear from him is

In your opinion I bet you don't even think he should be allowed to live in a hut during this recession.

Thing is, I think this is the one case where they are warranted.
I agree with the concept he expressed, but he tossed his political savvy and respect for the feelings of the citizens of Nevada out the window.
The 1st remark, maybe he didn't realize that he was speaking on a sensitive issue for many. He was plainly told that he was offensive, the first time.
The 2nd insulting remark reflects arrogance-- something that he criticized GWB and the recent past politics of the GOP.
