Speaker Nancy Pelosi did not skip a beat and used the death of long serving Senator Teddy Kennedy to push for nationalized health care.

Actually it is health insurance attack and not healthcare. We have had healthcare and hospitals doing well for a long time.

The author of this thread forgets that Sen. Ted Kennedy was all for healthcare reform-- it was a very important cause for him.

Kennedy was for socialized medicine.
You aren't honest enough to admit Kennedy wanted nothing to do with the new law covering elite like himself.

It was a power grab that is Kennedy's style.

Democrats can't see Kennedy ran away from watching mary Jo drown. That tells us how he defines health. Kennedy followers don't connect well with reality.

A person that values health would call an ambulance.
I look at his behavior and what he says. They don't match.

Healthcare Reform is NOT about taking coverage away from folks who already have coverage. It's about providing coverage for the American millions who don't have coverage.

I guess you have let the fringe "Right" (who don't represent this Republican at all) tell you what Healthcare Reform is without listening to the little bit of solid info that has been released.

People have the right to buy coverage. Get a job. Save money.

Obama calls it health insurance reform. It hasn't been called healthcare reform for 4 weeks by the Dems.

Go read the constitution and tell us if this is a right.

The Commerce Clause is where the folks who say this is unconstitutional will be defeated.


Furthermore, Congress has the right to levy taxes and does so already for Social Security.

Is Social Security unconstitutional?

Is the Veterans Administration unconstitutional?

Both agencies are connected to providing healthcare to parts of our population?

How is coverage for us any different from coverage for the working middle class and the poor?
