Re: Jordan's Queen Rania on Arab women

For her to speak out on this subject is interesting, Queen or not she is still a woman in an Islamic society. And that takes guts. I think her mother raised her well.

I just watched most of them. It was extremely interesting. I loved the one "don't call me that". I'd be guilty of making many of those comments. Makes you think.

I think it's also interesting to see more of the part of the world where Jesus lived.

Moral of the story, if you are a 13 year old girl and get gang raped by three muslim men, be a good little muslim girl and don't say anything. The problem is when or if she ever gets married and it is discovered she is not a virgin they will accuse her of adultery and stone her anyways

Neither snake handlers nor child molesting priests are indicative of America or Christianity. But they certainly do exist. And someone who is anti-American or anti-Christian can certainly drum up a few articles and put forward that these things are, indeed, the norm in America and Christendom.

She said that things similar to what you have quoted happen about 20 times a year in Jordan.

The story you quoted was about 15 months old. So you missed another 20 or so.

Perhaps there are other stories out there that cover progress in that area? Where there none? Or were you only looking for an article to show this side?
In American there is a HUGE HUGE outcry against child molestation.

What they need is not a youtube channel but an international condemnation by Islamic leaders and nations including the fat Saudi kings, princes and clerics against this stuff and to start putting financial, political and religious pressure on these other islamic nations

Pro choice???

She can choose to accept the rape or choose to get stoned later.

Re: Jordan's Queen Rania on Arab women

Interesting post. The mideast is following more democratic Muslim countries and slowly but surely recognizing that Islam and oppression of women are neither one nor the same. Thank you for sharing this.
