Re: Changing Denominations

Doctrine does matter because the bible is a book of doctrine, but we can believe correct doctrine and still have a right spirit.

LadyCoonskinner, Your tone spills the vile of the drumbeat that many are just sick of.

you speak to your experience and beliefs.

Many of which folks here are not opposed to...

But your view is very one-sided since you gain your position and status from the crowd you run with...

If you did not have the pressure to line up so you could have either your church, position, income or family acceptance.

Trust me you would look back and see that much of what you call the bullet proof gospel was more of a spell than gospel...

Narrow-minded... blah blah blah

I had a bunch gay rights supporters call me that recently too... they were appalled I was against the Gay Marriage initiatives going on in Florida, California, etc... Let's see.. they called me narrow-minded, hateful, ignorant, not very smart, holding on to traditions but the Word... I mean Constitution didn't really say it like that... the Framer's were antiquated and had some wrong beliefs that we need to fix.

Sorry, that was a completely unrelated rant and tangent. No connection at all.

Another when one is hurt and wounded it is proably not the time to make decisions because emotions can cloud our feelings.

Dear Rhoni,

I pray and hope you find the peace you seek, and the wholeness you need.

Remember, "Ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power."

Turn your eyes upon Jesus, Sister. Look full in His wonderful face.

Jesus is the answer.

I know that the harsh things you are saying now are only the manifestation of unhealed wounds and and an unbalanced mind.

Jesus can heal you, dear Sister.

Yes be a Christian but be one like the early Christians in the NT.
If I thought that strongly.

Then the lord would direct me to that type of church.

I have a statement to make.

I have a foundation that can not be broken.

Many christian folks have added to my christian walk.

That does not mean they have taken away from my christian walk.

Go and be light if you know and believe something.

Then you can shine your light in any church...

Wow, a lot of harsh words in this thread. Please try to be kind to each other.

Wow, you're harassing her for being upset for the "cult" reference?
Amazing... It's all coming out today. The trend I've noticed with folks that have left the church, by the way, over standards was that within 10 years they had come full circle and weren't sure what they really believed. At first they made sure everyone knew they were "still Apostolic"... eventually they changed belief systems entirely. It's a long, road. Some call it the road of liberty. I call it a pretty wide road that seems right, but in the end...

LOL. You could have stopped at unhealed/open wounds but the "unbalanced mind" was just a pot-shot. You know better than that!II Tim 1:7.
