God has sent a strong delusion upon America. Here was a man who went to a racist, Marxist Church. He hob knobed with domestic terrorists. He scoffed at the Bible. He lied about financing his campaign. He was a member of the "New Party" a Socialist group whose picture appeared in a News article as a member.
In his speeches he makes sure to equate "straight and gay". He supports the murder of innocent Children. He wants to abolish the Coal industry and says he will make your Electric bill SKYROCKET.
All this and Americans have voted him to be their Ruler.
I can see no logic in electing him so it must be supernatural. God has set him over America for its harm.
His goal exactly..he wants to FORCE you guys to NOT drive you cars but take the bus....he wants to FORCE you to spend MORE MONEY on gas and electricity. He said that. He thinks that will incentive to get you to use less.

I think the most important factor was obviously the unpopularity of the Republican administration. John McCain was never able to seperate himself from GWB in the eyes of voters. It would have been very hard for ANY Republican candidate to have won. The fact that the popular vote margin will end up under 8% may be something for McCain to brag about in the end.
Secondly, McCain never was able to turn the election into a referendum on Barack Obama. McCain, with the exception of a good convention bounce, was never able to get on offense. The economic crisis took away any momentum he had from the pick of Palin and coming out of his convention.
Thirdly, he never was able to get on top of the economic issue. His "fundamentals are strong" comment will define that blunder. Then the solid two weeks of changing positions and erratic decisions on what to do about the economy kept McCain on defense, while Obama was establishing himself as steady on the issue.
Fourth, McCain was never able to break out in the debates and actually win one. He didn't lose one, but he never was able to highlight Obama's inexperience and make it THE issue. In those debates, I think Obama was able to establish himself as a safe choice and was able to calm people's fears and uncertainty about voting for him.
McCain deserves credit for keeping it as close as he did given the poorly run campaign and the climate in the country toward Republicans.

That brings up another issue. He was flip flopping DURING the primary. I wonder if he thought he could run and win on his war experience and years in service...he said he had solutions for things but his explanations and counter explanations vs the Democratic attack left a LOT to be desired.
