G5331
φαρμακεία
pharmakeia
far-mak-i'-ah
From G5332; medication (“pharmacy”), that is, (by extension) magic (literal or figurative): - sorcery, witchcraft.
G5332
φαρμακεύς
pharmakeus
far-mak-yoos'
From φάρμακον pharmakon (a drug, that is, spell giving potion); a druggist (“pharmacist”) or poisoner, that is, (by extension) a magician: - sorcerer.
This is straight and to the point. It says what says. Don't blame me because it says it.

my friend, you are using modern understanding of ancient words. taking concepts out of cultural context.
what a pharmisist was then as it relates to witchcraft/magic/mind altering drugs used to create a spiritual experiences, doesnt relate to what a pharmisist is NOW. It DOES relate to both modern witchcraft and drug abuse.
but you are mixing meanings. that is (as I already pointed out) back doctrine.

No, because this is how the world of today is. If you took it that way, then I apologize, but it was not intended that way. Since this thread was started, I was totally surprised at how many Apostolics do take medications for their ailments.
I am not attacking your faith or if you believe that God can heal, so if you think that I am, then I apologize for that too.
No need to apologize. i didnt think you were attacking my faith.... I was speaking broader terms. Apostolics by definition should embrace the supernatural manifestation of God.

Mark 2:17- And when Jesus heard it, he said to them, “Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. I came not to call the righteous, but sinners.”
If Jesus didn't approve of medicine and doctors why did he infer that the 'sick' use the services of a physician? He even paralleled the physician with His own ministry.

You are kidding right? I never said the scripture spoke of either, I am saying it speaks of crazy ludicrous tree worship. In the days of the Bible there was no distinction between the two, there was not a pharmaceutical company that gave the physicians medication. Thats absurd!
Doctors practice medicine, the same way a pharmacist practices medicine. The doctor uses techniques and what not that are parallel to the processes used in pharmacology. You obviously don't know half what a doctor does.
I hope you take the time and learn about the history and the present state of the fields before you even consider replying because it is obvious you know nothing about what doctors/pharmacists do/did.
You are bringing up a red herring. I never brought up doctors you did, which doesn't make a lick of sense, because it was talking about pharmacists, not doctors.
When you can discuss in an intelligent manner, then let me know, because you doing nothing but ranting and raving and have proven nothing.

Galatians 5:20 is talking about pharmacists, not doctors and it says what it says.
BTW, There is nothing wrong with doctors, but the thread is not about doctors, it is about pharmacists. So, could you please stay on topic?

Like I said apparently you have no clue... I don't want to deal with this argument from square one.
Go through medical school and pharmacology, learn the history and then try to compare them. I don't think you know a doctor from a cowboy and that's where your getting your information all scrambled. When you know who's who we can talk, until then your arguments are not worth my time.
