It Can make Your Head Hurt

Someone once said "Don't kill a rabbitt with an elephant gun". That begs the question "what precipitated the WPF"? Resolutions voted in can be voted out the same way. I was really distressed when Bill Clinton was elected in 1992 but I didn't move out of the country. I think the effect of this television resolution is probably overstated by some on both sides of the issue. If the advertising is done tastefully and effectively I think it will be positive. I don't think television advertising alone is the panacea for hundreds of thousands being converted. Neither do I think television advertising will bring the negative results some do. If anybody wants to be upset about television advertising I don't see how they can justify an internet site for their church. No one has ever linked up with someone and left their spouse for someone they met on television that I know of. I think it's clear. It's a condition of the heart. The internet can surely be destructive, but were on it aren't we? Both sides of this issue are on the internet. But both sides agree: be careful, be wise.
