This is getting ridiculous. So we have women and ministers, male ministers included, preaching this damnable "doctrine" that long, uncut hair summons angels and within the locks of hair is power?

Isn't this dangerously close to the Gnosticism?

Why would they need to let their hair down, it seems to me if someone believed this than anytime they put their hair up, or tied it in a ponytail, or otherwise restrained the hair, it would it would be a sin to them.
Everytime I hear about this it reminds me of that witch with the green face on Bugs Bunny cartoons, every time she flew away on her broom all these hair pins would fly around.

The absurdity of this is beyond my imagination. I glad I don't run with preachers who would put up with this stupidity.

Thank God, I don't either......I thank God that I stopped going to a UPC church when I did!...I would not want to be associated with this.

Praise the Lord!!!

Good point....Where does the bible say that when letting it down something happens? This is scary to be honest. It sounds like something pagans would teach

Apostolic is defined on AFF as:

  1. There is One God. This one God reveals Himself distinctly as Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
  2. The Son is God himself in a human form or "God manifested in the flesh" (1Tim 3:16)
  3. Every sinner must repent of their sins.
  4. That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.
  5. That the Holy Ghost is for today and is received by faith with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.
  6. The saint will go on to strive to live a holy life, pleasing to God.

Why are you so carnal, my servant Praxeas ... Open his eyes, Lord!!!

Look upon the picture again ... and you will see THE ANGELS being unleashed .

And Elisha prayed, "O LORD, open his eyes so he may see." Then the Lord opened the servant's eyes, and he looked and saw the hills full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.

This movement really concerns me. My pastor mentioned an instance where hair was used in an answered prayer in the pulpit a couple of Sundays ago. ( A pastor's wife took her hair down and prayed for protection of their house during Hurricane Rita and their house was unharmed) I think this is a growing movement in our ranks.

My goodness. After creation, prophecy, death, burial and resurrection and the Day of Pentecost - it wasn't enough. We need hair to seal the deal.

That is just too, awfully, horrible to embrace. The work of Jesus Christ wasn't enough. His blood, spirit and name was not enough. We need some hair to help us out.

Good Lord!
