Paul Thorn: Mission Temple Fireworks Stand

Paul thorn is a mixed-bag of singer/songwriter, trailer-park wisdom, and backslidden Pentecostal rumination.

He also penned his greatest song when observing tent revivals, noticing that fireworks stands in Mississippi looked just like them.

I went to see him perform a Gospel concert with the Blind Boys of Alabama in Berkeley. His sister died that morning, and he couldnt make it. So it was the Blind Boys by themselves.

Not all of his music is like this, so proceed with caution.

"Holy Ghost Big Bang Theory Pentecostal Fire and Brimstone Mission Temple!"

Almost sounds like that could be the name of a real Black church somewhere! Too funny!!!

Agreed! Paul is an interesting guy. Met him on a number of occasions musically.

Incidentally, if anyone does like this, he put out a Gospel album called "Don't Let the Devil Ride." It's really amazing.
