This is not what you are advocating. You are advocating Xmas, bottom line. You are celebrating not a Biblical event, but one that had been handed down to you from the Western and Eastern churches. Like I said before, if they never made anything out of it, you would have nothing to do on December 24th to 25th. If you were raised by Eastern Orthodox tradition you would be complaining about January 6-7th.

To all the readers that read this thread please be advised that some on this discussion, are saying that if you eat, have family over on your day off because its December 24/25th. You’re a pagan, practicing demon worship! You may not involve yourself with trees, light decorations, mistletoes, wine, Yule tide logs, egg nog, Santa clause, stockings etc... The fact is because you ate, and had family over, you’re going to be accused of starting your own Holy Day. Also, if you decide to become a member on AFF, please ONLY post Acts 2:38, 1 God believers songs. If you post a song from a worldly album you’ll be accused of only listening to worldly music.

All this consternation over a holiday. Personally, I'm not into holidays, not even my own birthday. Not out of some sense of indignation against them, I just have no interest in them. That said, I also have nothing against those who do celebrate them. I haven't seen anything posted here that would cause me to change my opinion.

Now, it's entirely possible and plausible that someone could take it way too far, but that's true of anything in our lives. Making the day more important than God would be the issue then, not so much the holiday itself.
