Re: Advice on college accredidation

The lack of accreditation by certain Bible schools has been a plague for graduates for many years. Sadly, not even my alma mater is accredited, even though I do hear they are reaching in that direction.

Urshan is accredited. Not sure about other Bible colleges.

It has not affected my career. But it has affected the careers for other graduates.

Different colleges accept credits from different Bible colleges. This variation is helpful for certain students.

Ideally, all Bible colleges should be accredited. It is a standard of quality.

you might even request a hearing at your preferred college armed with froggie and Houston's info; also there are placement and accreditation tests. But wouldn't "your" college be compelled to accept your past credits if they were accredited at the time? i'm ignorant of the process there, but it seems to me they would have to?

Re: Advice on college accredidation

I depends on what degree you are pursuing as to what University to pursue. Hope International University in CA has a great on-line degree program, is fully accredited and will probably accept all of your credits because your school was at one time accredited.....give them a call.

Re: Advice on college accredidation

Is the same GOD who advised you to go to that school way back when still guiding your steps today?

I would apply at another school. I would NOT start over.

However, IF you decide to start over, go into a field where you can make a decent income only after 2 years of education.

Male Nurses will always be needed-- even after the baby boomers die off.
MRI Technicians do fairly well.

Good news. Southwestern AG University looks like they will be accepting me. I will have to do some undergraduate work (a few hours) first. But they still will be considering me a graduate student. Thank God I did not burn any bridges when I left the AG. Some old acquaintances really went to bat for me.
