Carry on Bert.
It appears that you rely upon your own feelings and ideas to assess what others say. If you did have the indwelling Holy Spirit, you would be able to grasp I am not this "Bert" person whom you cannot forgive.

Remember, Jesus clearly stated in Matthew 6:14-15 you must forgive both "Bert" and me if you are to have your own sins forgiven. And, if your sins are not forgiven, you cannot be part of the Church Bride of Christ, and you will go to Hell.

Are you following this, or trying to ignore it? Are you a doer of The Word, or just a talker?

You are definitely of the same spirit as bert, we'll call you bert. It just seems to fit.

Nope. I have lots of fun seeing through the talk of Xtians on your level. It does not take much to knock you off of your game of milque toast talk, whereby you start yapping no differently than any Godless person.

I see you are unable to stay on topic here. You turn your Thread participation into the ad hominem language of a woman. Lol. Just like a woman.

Why do I keep thinking you are just another weak little guy in California?

I pity the woman in your *real* life, if you have one.

My trust is in the Lord, and not in the words you are yapping all over the screen of this forum.

Apparently you have lost faith in the Lord Jesus, and that is a sad shame. Whether you want to believe the words of Paul/Saul, or Mark, or John, or James, or any of the other writers of the NT... they have stood the test of time, thousands of years, many more years old than you are. Just remember that. When you are dead and gone, the words written by men who knew Jesus will live on, not yours.

But when you make a feast, call the poor, the maimed, the lame, the blind: and you will be blessed; for they cannot pay you back: for you will be paid back at the resurrection of the just."

To minimize the worthless and chatty personal thoughts from respondents here, I will list the crystal clear salient features of this Command which relate to modern self assured American Christians:

1.) State who were the people which have attended any occasion oriented meals at your house in the last 5 years. Were any of them your friends, brothers, relatives, or self sufficient neighbors? Hopefully not. Were any of them poor, maimed, lame, or blind? Yes? No?

2.) Did you make the usual errors of inviting people over to "have a nice time," "to celebrate a season or accomplishment," "to share The Gospel," or to "just get together to show your love for them?" All of those reasons are false. The only reason given by Jesus here is to give dinners and suppers so that we will be rewarded at our resurrection. No other reason is given.

God and His Word are to be honored with competent English comprehension skills, not with chatty little intuitive notions about "Nice Things!!" which merely fill up our time here on Earth with cozy feelings. Speak to your wife about this before she disobeys Jesus again.
Do you obey the commandment in Luke 14:12-14?

What a bunch of shallow stuff. This is the DEEP WATERS section, Joreb., not shallow puddle jumping.

WOW! So much for your discerning spirit, or is that a spirit of divination?

Nope Bert, not out in Cali!

You do not read very well, do you? I have repeatedly described exactly how I am having fun at your expense, and not once have I said I make up "different online personnas."

Did some woman teach you to think in terms of "How People Seem To Be?" Lol.
