Re: Changing To Preterism from Rapture Doctrine
In short...
First realized all Jesus taught was "The Kingdom".
Had been studying and praying about Jesus always teaching "the Kingdom, and one night I suddenly woke up about 3am, leaned forward and screamed "repent for the Kingdom of heaven is at hand, and almost scared my wife to death...had to figure out what John exactly meant by "Kingdom at hand". Heb 12:28 is a good answer in short.
Then, started studying my bible without ignoring the obvious descriptive timing statements...near, at hand, shortly take place, will not delay, etc Simplicity.
Noticed the obvious "this generation won't pass until all this stuff happens, most will die but some won't before this happens...and many other clear obvious scriptures...Simplicity.
Got online and noticed some of Blumes videos on the Kingdom, and also letting ot scripture interpret nt scripture in regard to eschatology. Told a friend about it and he said hey you should join aff, he's on there. I had never even heard of AFF but I did join.

Sean, thanks for lacking the self control needed to allow some other to share their stories without your belittling comments. It is so much appreciated.
Benincasa, would you care to share on my original question?
Thanks again to all for sharing.

I was Mr Non-Dispensational Post Trib Rapture.
I remember while I was Bible studying (in my younger days) and I saw the NAME in Matthew 28:19! I thought I found the Holy Grail, I told everyone I knew that the NAME was JESUS! All power was given to Him in Heaven and on Earth! But the Trinitarians I knew who said I was their brother, and the loved me, soon showed me the right foot of fellowship. I was shocked when one individual (Holiness Church of God) preacher told me "that doctrine is straight from the PIT! I Bible studied with my old Trinitarian buds, and some converted, but others get ugly, and said they didn't want any part of the damnable doctrine I was getting into. I love the Apostolic message and today when we baptized a young lady in Jesus name, it was wonderful to see the Holy Ghost all over her as she came up out of the water, and her mother who prayed for her alongside the baptistry speaking in tongues because she prayed so hard and long for her daughter. I love that Jesus name baptism and the wonderful power of the Holy Ghost. How it changes hearts and lives.

Peter taught preterism on the day of Pentecost, for goodness' sake.
He said the last days spoken by Joel were in his day two thousand years ago. John said antichrists were everywhere and that is why he knew it was the last time way back then. It's not the end of time, but the time of the end... Of all law and temple and Jerusalem's relationship with God. It was a new Jerusalem, the church. New covenant. Revelation is the beginning of the new covenant with the tearing down of all the old scaffolding and judging the perpetrators of the cross. Revelation is full of the curses God strictly gave to Israel under law for violating law.
