Well, I am gonna post this and try my best to STOP posting for a while! PRAY FOR ME SAINTS!!!!!!!!!
Back to the first post - I can assure you there are bigger and better things for Paula and Randy and that they will survive all this. They are survivors and no matter how it looks - they will climb on top of it all and do more and have more than ever before.

People thought Jim Baker was through - He went to prison - wrote a book - made millions - is back on TV and doing very well. You can count these guys down at times - but don't count them out - they will rise again!

Well, I only read the original thread, so I can't comment on what all has been said. I think this is really sad, if it's all true. Randy and Paula White started out as poor Church of God preachers/teachers and were truly grateful for the blessings of God. I have learned a lot from her teaching, but I think they have probably gotten way out of balance. The last time I heard her, she was driven up to the church in a huge limo and treated like she was some kind of queen. The majority of the women in that church were everyday, working women. I didn't feel like they could relate to what she was saying.

It is very dangerous and seductive when you start making this kind of money. I think coming from their poor backgrounds, they probably didn't know how to handle it all. They have been very open about problems in their marriage all along; they are both pretty much type A personalities and they have had a rough go of it.

Saying all of that, I hope they make it and I hope their priorities are on the right things. But it does look doubtful.

This is all true, but it speaks absolutely nothing about their integrity, accountability, or whether they should have any credibility in the body of Christ. Having money and having the ability to get it not a sign of rightousness.

I hope this doesn't aggravate you into more posting LOL!

I totally agree with you. One of the main problems is - No Accountability!
The whole thing is so very sad to me - because I know where they came from.

OK Brothers and Sisters, This is one of the main reasons you should not build a "ministry" around yourself. It is imperative that we are a part of something bigger than ourselves. This can be an affiliation, or a denomination, but whatever it is, there should be full financial disclosure that is open to the public.

A plan should be in place that the church or ministry be minimally effected should any key player be removed by death of other cause.

LOL! But that is accountability. If not full public disclosure, then at least regular audits by an outside, nonaffiliated agency and full disclosure to someone like the http://www.ecfa.org/

Sherri,
We took a group of ladies from the Corinth church to a Judy Jacobs conference a couple of years ago. It was Judy, Darlene Bishop, Karen Wheaton, and Paula.

They all acted normal and were talking with ladies after the services, but Paula was escorted out by bodyguards and didn't speak to anyone. I liked her message more than I like watching her on TV, but the celebrity thing left a bad taste in my mouth.
