I'll try to dig out the info and find a link on the origin of tatoos.

Scott this post could take you to gallows
to my surprise there are a lot of people here that are fine with it
and view anyone who is not as out of touch

I'm not casting people into the pit or throwing stones but I'm just being honest.See I'm not a con as some here ,but I ain't as liberal as others either.
I feel I'm in touch with the Holy Ghost ,but I do draw lines on somethings.

I would say all who have dealt with the deliverance ministry will say it's demonic by their experience with dealing with tatood people in need of deliverance.

why can't people be a witness by treating your neighbor as yourself, and having love for one another, and using your mouth to speak the gospel, instead of marking yourself? To me religous tattoos are just like when people wear big, gaudy crosses necklaces and earrings and the like, (except you cant remove them when you go to bed, lol), some kind of pride thing.

There was a post about people with tattoos feeling condemned everytime they go to church , they must not feel forgiven or that their past is under the blood, there is therefore no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.

As for tattoos becoming the norm, so what, living together in sin before marriage is the norm, that don't make it right.

30And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God [do not offend or vex or sadden Him], by Whom you were sealed (marked, branded as God's own, secured) for the day of redemption (of final deliverance through Christ from evil and the consequences of sin).
31Let all bitterness and indignation and wrath (passion, rage, bad temper) and resentment (anger, animosity) and quarreling (brawling, clamor, contention) and slander (evil-speaking, abusive or blasphemous language) be banished from you, with all malice (spite, ill will, or baseness of any kind).
32And become useful and helpful and kind to one another, tenderhearted (compassionate, understanding, loving-hearted), forgiving one another [readily and freely], as God in Christ forgave you. 9And that I may [actually] be found and known as in Him, not having any [self-achieved] righteousness that can be called my own, based on my obedience to the Law's demands (ritualistic uprightness and supposed right standing with God thus acquired), but possessing that [genuine righteousness] which comes through faith in Christ (the Anointed One), the [truly] right standing with God, which comes from God by [saving] faith.
Ephesians 4:29-32 (Amplified Bible)

10Why do you criticize and pass judgment on your brother? Or you, why do you look down upon or despise your brother? For we shall all stand before the judgment seat of God. Romans 14:10 (Amplified Bible)

You continue to speculate about the walk that others have with God without any knowledge of what you're talking about. You should tread lightly, Thad.

1DO NOT judge and criticize and condemn others, so that you may not be judged and criticized and condemned yourselves. Matthew 7:1 (Amplified Bible)

God Bless you too !!!!

If I'm preaching and see women with short hair or folks with body piercings
and tattos I'll preach the cross and The Blood Of Jesus Christ and the power of God to them the same as anybody else.
If God comes in He'll come in with The Holy Ghost scrub brush and begin a good work.

I do not agree with this post at all. Absolutely not.

Clothing and hairstyles are used much more to promote someone's sexiness than tatoos. And, even in our Apostolic ranks, there's a lot of that going on.
