Praise the Lord!
Hello Friends,
I am so happy to have found this forum. I am currently seeking a home church and during the "in between" I need a little extra oomph to get me through. God's food is good and we would starve without it. It has not been an easy search for a home church, but the Lord will see that I find my place.
I loved my last church for a very long time, but there were serious issues that were uncovered that the Holy Ghost convicted me strongly not to support by continue membership.
I am not a "church jumper", but I want and need the presence of God not only in my everyday life, but I also need to walk out of a service with a blessed heart, full of new revelation.
I know that God is at every service I go to and I am trying hard not to be critical. However, I do have seen many believers glorify themselves by enacting the presence of the Holy Ghost during my visits while the Spirit warns me it isn't so.
There is even a church nearby that is called the "Pentecostal Holiness Trinity Church". This may explain my desire to have true doctrine.
I do understand the differing "standards" of many churches. I dress modestly, but do not feel convicted to take it to extremes. I have visited churches that put women under such restrictive requirements and literally strip their from freedom to express any personality at all and I do not believe that is of God. I believe that is outlined by the pastors expectations. I follow God and not Man.
I have also visited churches that had no standards and there were people wearing shorts and tank tops to service. That isn't my "bag" either.
I have read many posts and wanted to reply, but had to wait until my membership had been confirmed.
I will go back to those posts as time allows and ask the questions or answer the questions I have found there.
