Luke 9:54-56 (New King James Version)
54 And when His disciples James and John saw this, they said, “Lord, do You want us to command fire to come down from heaven and consume them, just as Elijah did?”
55 But He turned and rebuked them, and said, “You do not know what manner of spirit you are of. 56 For the Son of Man did not come to destroy men’s lives but to save them.” And they went to another village.
Jeremiah 32:34-36 (New King James Version)
34 But they set their abominations in the house which is called by My name, to defile it. 35 And they built the high places of Baal which are in the Valley of the Son of Hinnom, to cause their sons and their daughters to pass through the fire to Molech, which I did not command them, nor did it come into My mind that they should do this abomination, to cause Judah to sin.’
Will God do what He calls an abomination? I say absolutely not!

Are you sure that passage in Jeremiah really supports your doctrine? It seems a little far fetched to me... maybe I am missing something?

I certainly believe the Jeremiah reference, shows that God called it an abomination for Israel to burn their children. Would He do what He calls an abomination. I believe this would be supportive of my view.

This is a discussion board, my posts are my views, they are not being "pushed", if God doesn't impress on you that these views are true, by all means reject them. I didn't turn this thread toward UR, my view was mischaracterized, followed by a question, by the original poster of the thread. I corrected his understanding of my view and answered his question. You and others continued the UR direction of the thread.

Oh good grief. Another "please delete my account" request.
Oh. The. Drama.

So, I highly recommend entering life here and now, so that one does not have to endure the "fiery" presence of the living God. By which all chaff and dross will be removed.
That my friend is the point, the work of redemption is complete, Jesus said, "It is finished", however, the entering into to it is another matter.

Universalism denies the justice of God, the holiness of God, the depravity of sin. It makes grace just a get out of damnation free card. How a person can read the Bible and not believe in Hell is unfathomable.

For the record, OP started this off topic issue of Universal Reconciliation, CJ responded and Untraditional Milked CJ for more discussion,
I have considered moving this thread to the doctrinal debate area because of that but in any case Untraditional, you are welcome to leave on your own. But next time if, if you decide to stay, you have an issue with something, instead of calling the Admins out you better use the post reporting tool or PM someone in private.

- The Son is God himself in a human form or "God manifested in the flesh" (1Tim 3:16)
- Every sinner must repent of their sins.
- That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.
- That the Holy Ghost is for today and is received by faith with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.
- The saint will go on to strive to live a holy life, pleasing to God.

Exactly!!
Don't come on a discussion forum and espouse your views, unless you are fully prepared to refute opposing views. Good Grief!!! Especially with an attitude!!

"pass through the fire" doesn't sound to me like something as simple as them burning their children. Maybe it was a ritual involving fire? Or maybe causing their children to pass through the fire was some kind correcting punishment that would cause their children to act right?
