Or, let's look at it this way. JD, I'm your employer, and I suddenly inform you that I need you to help me! And the way you're going to help me is instead of $10.00 an hour I'm only going to pay you $8.00 an hour! You see, I'm helping you because you won't have to pay as much in taxes and and you're helping me, as I will have more of my money to keep and maybe hire someone else!
If we keep this up we'll solve all of America's problems!

Those tax cuts were only approved on a temporary basis anyway.
I think the wealthy who are able to pay taxes should pay said taxes-- without "assistance" from the government.
Giving the wealthy a tax break is yet another government program. The beneficiaries of this program are well off before the government helps them and are well off after the government helps them.
