I believe in seeking him diligently too. (Faith without works is dead)

If the emboldened statement is isolated, it sounds as if one is trying please God by their good works which was why I qouted
Isaiah 64:6 to show that our goods works without Christ is nothing.
I agree however that our faith is proved by our actions (i.e faith without works is dead). If we believe in Him and His word, we will seek Him diligently (No argument on that), but that was not what I was addressing. I'm not talking about faith versus works.
I was specifcally addressing the fact that someone can preach that wearing jewelry is displeasing to God, yet the same person says he is not sure if wearing jewely is actually displeasing to God? This is where I see inconsistency.
