My younger brother, Darrien, and his wife, Marlyn, that is .... they are have had great results with a prayer program he devised called Operation 7:14 ....
The young people at the church Dad pastored are highly motivated to humble themselves in prayer for 100 days .... since March ....
and they are seeing a mighty move of God in NYC.
So much so .... that they have infected other churches in the New York Metro District and .... now after the International Coordinator for World Network interviewed them .... there may be plans to replicate their call to prayer ....
The following is from an email communique from WNOP's June 2010 Prayer Connect:
Quote:

Darrien and Marlyn Alicea is a brilliant young couple who are youth pastors in the New York Metro District. I had the distinct privilege to interview them both recently. They have implemented a rather innovative youth prayer schedule based on II Chronicles 7:14. It is entitled "Operation 7:14."
This prayer program requires every youth in their local church to pray for 14 minutes a day, 7 days a week. On July 14, 2010 their youth group will have completed 100 days of prayer i.e. "Operation 7:14" having begun in March of this year.
Darrien told me that he often texts the youth at either 7:14 am or 7:14 pm to remind them to "get in" their "14 minutes of prayer" before the day ends and that God is doing a wonderful work in the lives of his young people.
I pray that all our young people, as well as adults can be infected with "Operation 7:14," and will live a life burning with passion for God." My prayer is that we burn for Jesus and that through our passion we can give Jesus Christ "the fame"." Darrien anchored the interview with such passion by saying, "And most of all, we pray that our nation will come to repentance."
Thank you Darrien and Marlyn for your innovative concept of "Operation 7:14" Think about it, folks! A mere 14 minutes a day in pray for revival!
More to follow...
Don't forget the International Prayer Conference - "Summons to Sacrifice," beginning next week Thursday, June 10th. Meet me in St. Louie, Louie! Teri Spears made a great suggestion to the planning committee. She said, "Instead of having a teaching session on Thursday afternoon, June 10, why don't we just PRAY! Let's do what we have come to do!" Thank you Teri, for the great idea and your tremendous involvement in "Summons to Sacrifice" over the years.
Meet us Thursday, June 10 at 2:00 pm as we petition the Lord in a time of intercessory prayer.
